Last updated : 18 July 2025 1 – Introduction SpotMyCharge.com (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an independent directory of electric-vehicle (EV) charging points, gas / fuel stations and associated amenities. This notice explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard any personal information obtained when you visit or interact with the website https://www.spotmycharge.com (“Website”). By accessing the Website you accept the practices described below; if you do not agree, please do not use the site. 2 – Information we collect Contact data you choose to provide. When you complete a contact or listing-submission form, we receive your name, e-mail address, phone number, country and any other details you voluntarily include (for example preferred connector type, business hours, station facilities). Technical and usage data. When you browse the Website our servers record your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and time-stamps. We set essential cookies for security and session management and, with your consent, analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation). 3 – How we use your data • To forward your enquiry or listing request to the station operator(s) you explicitly select. • To communicate with you if you ask a question or request assistance. • To protect the Website against fraud and abuse and to compile anonymous visitor statistics. • To comply with legal obligations or defend our legitimate interests. We do not sell or rent personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. 4 – Data sharing Selected station operators. Your contact details and the text of your enquiry are shared only with the operator(s) you have chosen. Each operator becomes independently responsible for its own processing of that data. Service providers. We use Amazon Web Services (USA region) for hosting and Google Analytics (USA) for audience measurement. All providers act under contract and follow appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Legal authorities. We disclose data only when required by law or to prevent fraud, security threats or harm. We do not share data with advertisers or unrelated third parties. 5 – Retention Enquiries and related correspondence are kept for up to twenty-four (24) months after your last interaction, then deleted or irreversibly anonymised. Security logs are stored for thirty (30) days. Aggregated analytics, which cannot identify you, may be kept indefinitely. 6 – Your rights Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA or similar) you may request to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal data, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or receive a portable copy. To exercise any right, write to contact@spotmycharge.com; we reply within thirty (30) days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. 7 – Security measures The Website uses HTTPS/TLS 1.3, encryption at rest for all production databases, firewalls and role-based access controls. Although no online service can guarantee absolute security, we take reasonable steps to protect your data. 8 – Children The Website is intended for adults (18 +). We do not knowingly collect data from minors; any such data discovered will be deleted promptly. 9 – No operational liability SpotMyCharge.com provides information only. We neither operate fuel stations nor EV chargers, and we cannot guarantee the accuracy, availability or safety of any listed location. Deciding where and how to charge or refuel is entirely your responsibility. Always follow manufacturer and operator safety instructions. 10 – Changes to this policy We may update this notice from time to time. When we do, the “Last updated” date will change.
